JEE ADVANCED 2014 ELIGIBILITY CRITERION

What is the JEE ADVANCED 2014 ELIGIBILITY CRITERION ?

Candidates who wish to write test for JEE ADVANCED 2014 must have to appear for Paper 1 of JEE MAIN 2014. Only the top 1,50,000 candidates who got qualified in paper 1 of JEE MAIN 2014 are eligible to appear for JEE ADVANCED 2014. These candidates can be from any category. Candidates must be in the top 20 percentile of their Respective board for class 12th. Candidates must have secured 60 percentage marks in their !2th board examination and 55 percentage for SC/ST or PWD categories. In case the Board has not provided the cut off for the top 20 percentile of successful candidates, candidate can get a certificate from the board which must have stated that the candidate comes under the list of top 20 percentile candidates. In case the board offers grades instead of marks, a candidate can get a certificate issued for  the board which states the equivalent marks of the candidate.

AGE LIMIT FOR JEE ADVANCED 2014:

For Candidates belonging to General OR OBC category: Candidate must have been born on or after October 1, 1989.

For Candidates belonging to SC/ST OR PWD category: Candidate must have been born on or after October 1, 1984.

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS FOR JEE ADVANCED 2014:

  • Candidates will be allowed to write the exam for JEE ADVANCED 2014 a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.
  • For example, candidates who have write the exam for JEE Advanced 2014 for the first time in 2013 can appear for JEE Advanced 2014 provided that they have cleared the JEE MAIN 2014 exam which is the prime eligibility criteria to appear for JEE ADVANCED.

CANDIDATES TAKEN ADMISSION EARLIER IN JEE ADVANCED 2013: NOT ELIGIBLE FOR JEE ADVANCED 2014

Candidates who have admitted earlier in JEE ADVANCED 2013 or paid the admission fees at any of the IITs Or ISM Dhanbad are not eligible to appear in the exam for JEE ADVANCED 2014.
